I Am An Immigrant: A Celebration of Our Stories

  • Holman United Methodist Church 3320 West Adams Boulevard Los Angeles, CA, 90018 United States

On June 18th, at Los Angeles' historic Holman United Methodist Church, immigrant families, artists and actors will share the stage, telling the history of our nation’s rich immigrant heritage through personal stories and musical performances.

Featuring performances and appearances from: Cristela Alonzo, Guillermo Diaz, Harry Shum Jr., Sophie Cruz, Jose Antonio Vargas, Melonie Diaz, Jenny Yang, Taz Ahmed, Mariachi Arcoiris de Los Angeles, Bojana Novakovic, Amir Arison, Jubilant Voices of Holman UMC and the cast of East Los High!

Our nation awaits the US Supreme Court's landmark decision in United States v. Texas, which would impact the well-being of hundreds of thousands of Angelenos.

We will honor the native people of this land while lifting the powerful voice of the often-dismissed dreams of new Americans, who come to this country to build a brighter future.

At its core, this community event is a celebration of America’s immigrants – of their culture, values and resilience. Together, we will reaffirm that our prosperity lies in diversity, our strength comes from our faith in our dreams, and our future depends on the health of our communities.
